Boy Scouts’ Dinner & Auction
City of Burbank’s storied Boy Scouts of America Troop 201, a wellspring of community service, strong moral, ethical, and spiritual values, and high adventure to more than 1,000 boys in its half-century of existence, is proud to announce its First Annual Alumni Fundraising Dinner & Silent Auction. The event, catered by Miceli’s Italian Restaurant and Porto’s Bakery, will be held at Troop 201’s home base of Magnolia Park Methodist Church. A video yearbook, live performance, silent auction (with items from Magic Castle, Warner Bros, and celebrity-signed goodies) highlight the evening, an extraordinary opportunity to connect or reconnect with the Boy Scouts in your community. Proceeds from the event will provide transportation and tuition to BSA’s 2012 Summer Camp for Scout’s in need.
The event is open to the public, with past and present members of Troop 201 particularly encouraged to celebrate. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at the door.

Toluca Lake Elementary School Beautification Day
Students, families, staff, and community members will work together to replant our garden, spruce up the playground, and give some of the toys and classrooms a much needed cleaning. Lunch for volunteers will be provided by the PTA, and is being donated by Togo’s Sandwiches on Pass Avenue. Councilman Tom LaBonge’s office is also sponsoring a portion of the event, providing funding for our grounds staff that day and hopefully stopping by to say hello and receive our thanks. The Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council is also providing plants and equipment for us to use to beautify our school. This is a true community event!
