Vintage Clothing Show
The Vintage Clothing & Textile Show, featuring 65 exhibitors selling and displaying a wide selection of antique textiles and vintage clothing returns to the Pickwick Gardens in Burbank on May 29. A huge variety of vintage and gently worn designer clothing will be shown along with vintage table and bed linens, Victorian lace, draperies and cushions, a variety of wearable decorative trims, buttons, shoes, handbags, accessories – the list goes on!

Burbank’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is seeking volunteers age 55+ in the administrative field. Duties would include assisting in fundraisers in the office and in the community, answering phones, typing and filing.

Jack Jones Honored
Singer Jack Jones, a contemporary of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Vic Damone during the “Big Band” era of popular music, will be honored by the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters as a luncheon Friday, May 20, at the Sportsman’s Lodge in Studio City.
Jones, whose first hit single “Lollipops and Roses” was released in 1962, went on to record more than fifty albums, toured the world with sold out live performances, appeared in film and on television and gave concerts at The White House, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.

On Sunday, May 22, at 5 p.m., join the “Mighty Oaks Gospel Choir” of Sherman Oaks United Methodist Church, along with their special musical guests as they celebrate the joy and jubilation of Christian Inspirational Music! All generated funds will go to support the “Hope for the Children of Africa” effort.
