Fourth Annual Children’s Day
Hosted by Fritz Coleman and featuring Radio Disney and ESPN X Games, Children’s Day 2011 kicks off with an All-Valley Parade at 9 a.m. featuring high school bands – and you! Enter the park on a red carpet and begin a magical day of kids’ activities and entertainment featuring Radio Disney performances, ESPN X skateboard clinics, storytelling by Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson and Honorary Mayor of SFV) and celebrity friends, celebrity and sports icons’ autographs for the whole family, arts & crafts, a U.S. Marine Corps armored Humvee, rock climbing, a petting zoo, carnival rides, over forty gourmet food trucks and more! Admission is free.

Continuing with the celebration of 100 years of being incorporated as the City of Burbank, we have invited some of our more prominent local businesses that have developed Burbank into the city it is today. Exhibiting at the Creative Arts Center Gallery are Cartoon Network Studios, Walt Disney Company, Falcon Theatre, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Nickelodeon and Warner Bros. Studios. These companies are a reflection of how the City of Burbank brings art not only to the community, but to the world.

Family Skate Night
Every Saturday night, Burbank Roller Hockey Rink holds a night where families can come out and skate around — to just have some fun as a family! Admission is $5 for individuals; for the whole family $20, regardless of the number of children. If kids wear their hockey gear, it’s a dollar off. There are lots of skates for kids, but less for adults, so bring your skates if you have ‘em!

Summer Concert Series
The Levitt Pavilion Pasadena, located in Memorial Park in old Pasadena, has kicked off its ninth annual 50 Summer Concert Series (Wednesdays–Sundays) at Make Music Pasadena. All concerts have open lawn seating and are free and open to the public. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights concerts begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday concerts begin at 7 p.m. Children’s nights are Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Audience members can enjoy an evening under the stars with music, friends and family.

The All-American Collector’s Show is California’s Largest Antique Toy & Advertising Show. It will feature toys, teddy bears, trains, soldiers, Disneyana games, mechanical banks, political Americana, advertising country store items, slot machines, Breweriana, movie posters, arcade machines, pin back buttons, signs and other great collector items.
