The Tri-Valley Chapter of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners
The Tri-Valley chapter will hold their September meeting on Sept. 8 p.m. at Fin’s Creekside Restaurant in Calabasas . The dinner presentation will be about atrial fibrillation. Nurse practitioners, students, and health care professionals are welcome. There is no charge to attend as a guest.

38th Annual Cancer Control Convention
The Cancer Control Society will hold the 38th Annual Cancer Control Convention at the Sheraton Universal Hotel across from Universal Studios on Sept. 4, 5 and 6 with an anticipated 80 exhibitors in attendance.
Learn about alternative approaches in the prevention and control of cancer and other diseases from doctors, clinical researchers and nutritionists. Health products and books will be available for purchase.
“Exhibits only” entrance to the event is $20 per day. An optional daily admission package, that includes live lectures and DVD presentations, is also available.
Veteran’s Information Seminar
Local members of the nonprofit Disabled American Veterans (D-A-V) will present a veterans information seminar beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Sept. 11 at the Delhi Community Center, 505 East Central Ave. Like all D-A-V services, this seminar is free to all veterans and members of their families.
