Providence Holy Cross Rated No. 1 in Southern California for Excellence
The California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Taskforce (CHART) this week ranked Providence Holy Cross Medical Center first in Southern California and second statewide for performance on quality-related measures.
Providence Holy Cross, in fact, was the only hospital in the top 10 to be rated on all eight measures, which reflect each medical center’s quality, outcomes and preventative efforts.
“We expected to do well because we continually work to improve the quality of care we provide,” said Dr. Bernard Klein, chief medical officer of Providence Holy Cross. “To rank so high when compared to hospitals throughout the state is a great affirmation of the hard work and dedication of our physicians, our nurses and everyone in the hospital.”
More than 240 California hospitals participate in the voluntary reporting effort, which is funded by health plans and hospitals.
