5th Annual Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station #86 another Big Hit!
On May 9th, the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce, together with Councilmember Tom LaBonge and The Toluca Lake Homeowners Association, hosted the “5th Annual Old Fashioned Pancake Breakfast” at Fire Station 86. The event was held in conjunction with Fire Service Day. The main purpose of the event is to show our appreciation for our local firefighters who put themselves in harms way the entire year, protecting us and our property. The day was truly a community event, solidifying local residents, schools and businesses. Nearly 1000 people attended, enjoying a delicious “homemade” breakfast, with local bands providing the music and a multitude of activities for the kids.
The Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce was proud to present a check for $3000 to the Widows and Orphans Fund, which support the families of fallen firefighters. The success of the event was due in large to the local sponsors. This year’s food sponsors were Priscilla’s Coffee Tea and Gifts, Bobs Big Boy, Paty’s Coffee House and Hows Market. Other local sponsors were the Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council, Roy and Sheri Disney, Steve Hampar/ Keller Williams Realty, Shamrock Holdings Inc, The Bogy Company Insurance Brokers, Vendome Wine and Spirits, Deeb Investment, in loving memory of Dr Edward Deeb, Miceli’s Restaurant, Wells Fargo Bank Toluca Lake, Von Der Ahe Real Estate Group, North Hollywood Ice Company, Town and Country Realtors/Lance King, Anderson Party Rentals, Tom Hawkins, Ramsey-Shilling Toluca Lake, Lakeside Car Wash, Tyron Automotive Group, First Security Lending and Sharky’s.
