Singing Legend Kay Starr to be Feted by the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters

Kay Starr, iconic singer from the Big Band era of American music, will be honored by the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters at a luncheon Monday, March 30 at the Marriott Warner Center Hotel in Woodland Hills.
Honoring her will be dais presided over by Pacific Pioneer President Chuck Southcott that includes Van Alexander, Gogi Grant, Hal Kanter, Wink Martindale, John Mills of the Mills Brothers, Gary Owens, Rose Marie, Bea Wain and Jerry White, the singer’s longtime drummer.
Jeanne De Vivier Brown is chairperson for the luncheon, one of five annually sponsored by the group of some 800 veteran performing artists, writers, producers, directors, technicians and others associated with the radio and television industry.
