Attention: All Speed Demons and Thrill Seekers
Just because summer is winding down doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Looking for a no-holds-barred adrenaline rush? A way to beat the heat and beat your friends in a little friendly competition? Well, here’s the skinny: Burbank’s very own Racer’s Edge Indoor Karting has the cure for those end-of-summer blues.
Trade gridlock traffic for hairpin twists and turns. Zoom past your buddies and laugh to yourself as they eat your dust. At Racer’s Edge (get it?), going for the gold has never been so fun.
The eco-friendly, all-electric, size-adjustable karts vroom up to 45 miles per hour (based on experience), giving daredevils of all ages a chance to quench their adrenaline thirst. All electric means no fumes, no noise – just an exhilarating experience like no other. The challenging race itself is 2.4 miles in length — whether you’re a novice or a professional racer.
Once you’ve arrived, you’re a civilian no longer; instead you’re a speed demon whose objective is to win. After receiving racing instructions, it’s 3…2…1…GO!
A full arcade and free Wi-Fi lets you play all day, while Lucchese’s Deli provides delicious food and coffee. Wager you’ll be the victor with a chili dog as the prize!
The concrete track gives plenty of traction. In fact, the honest-to-Jeff Gordon real racetrack is the closest most of us will ever get to competing with the big dogs.
And speaking of big dogs, Big Dog Garage is holding a very special event on Saturday, August 13. Racing starts at 11 a.m. Bernard Juchli, the legendary vintage racecar driver and General Manager of Big Dog, will be on site at 4 p.m. He’s bringing one of his own vintage racecars to show off to you gearheads. Sponsors that’ll be onsite include Alpine Stars, Arai Helmets, Best Buy, Mehanix Wear, Goodyear, SwissTrax, Lincoln Electric, Lucas Oil, Air Gas, ApeWraps and the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway.
In honor of Juchli the pro, this whole long weekend, beginning Thursday, August 11, and ending Monday, August 15, all races will be discounted at the near-steal of $15. That’s $8 in savings off the regular hard-to-beat $23 per race!
Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate and team building events, bat mitzvahs or just a regular Saturday with the family, Racer’s Edge is there for you when you’ve got that need for speed.
The owners at Racer’s Edge want everyone to know how proud they are to become mainstays in the Burbank and L.A. area. Their goal to be the premiere family-friendly destination location in Burbank has come to fruition — with your help. Through their successful fundraising program that benefits local schools, they’re making Burbank a better place — off the track and on.
