Unique Alliances Offer Benefits to Village at NorthRidge Residents

At The Village at NorthRidge residents enjoy a hospitality-centered lifestyle, enriched with a wealth of amenities and services.

Since the community’s opening last March, The Village at NorthRidge residents have benefited from one-of-a-kind services, resort amenities, and innovative health and wellness programs. Now, through three unique community alliances, residents at the area’s newest luxury retirement community have an even greater advantage to leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

The Village at NorthRidge has aligned with Providence Health and Services, the Arthritis Foundation and California State University, Northridge to offer residents direct access to leading experts and resources in health and wellness.

Providence Health and Services, a not-for-profit health system committed to providing a comprehensive array of services will offer Village at NorthRidge residents and guests a monthly lecture on various health topics. The “Healthy Living Lecture” series began on September 17th and continue the third Friday of each month.

Through the community’s partnership with the Arthritis Foundation, The Village at NorthRidge will offer an aquatic and exercise program with certified instructors Lauranne Payne and Lori Michiel. These classes offer a host of benefits to those suffering with arthritis such as reduced joint pain and stiffness, stronger muscles surrounding the joints and increased flexibility.

Aquatic exercise is just one of the many activities to choose from at The Village at NorthRidge.

To support seniors in living a healthy and engaging life, The Village at NorthRidge and California State University, NorthRidge will partner in an educational series. While the series is still under development, potential topics will include: longevity through recreational activities, planning a senior’s financial health, seniors and the new age of communication, senior volunteerism, and health care reform and the impact on seniors.

“We’re thrilled to partner with these doctors and experts to provide residents with up-to-date, relevant information and activities to live a healthy and balanced life,” said Tim Maloney, executive director of The Village at NorthRidge. “These partnerships are a testament to our commitment to provide our residents with an exceptional senior living environment.”

Owned and operated by Senior Resource Group, The Village at NorthRidge is comprised of 275 independent and assisted living residences. The luxury retirement community’s resort-style services and amenities include: The Prairie Grille Restaurant (open 12 hours daily), a fully equipped fitness center, The Majestic Theatre, Internet café, The Corbin Street Market, library, art gallery, club lounge, bistro bar, swimming pool and spa, a full-service beauty salon, and underground parking.
