After 30 years on a job, most folks are looking for a gold watch and a monthly pension check. Not Bruce Mosk, real estate broker and Executive Director of the Condominium and Townhouse Resale Division of Prudential California Realty’s Encino office. Instead of working on his golf swing, Mosk is on a mission to stay in the elite top two percent of all Prudential real estate brokers in the nation.
“I am just as enthused and excited today as I was my first day in the business 30 years ago because I know I’ll face major challenges and see major rewards,” says Mosk.
Now in his fifth year with Prudential, Mosk has been consistently recognized as one of the national corporation’s top salespeople, winning the Chairman’s Circle Awards in 2005, 2007, and 2008 and the Platinum Award in 2006. California’s exceptionally brutal real estate market knocked Mosk’s award designation down 1% so that he earned the “Top 3% Companywide” designation in 2009. This motivates Mosk to rocket back up to the absolute top in 2010. “I’m more driven now than ever, like the car rental company that works harder because it’s Number 2. I am focused upon earning that Top 2% Award again this year and I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure that I exceed my clients’ expectations so that I can generate the most important asset in my marketing techniques arsenal: referral business!”
Making his success more impressive is the fact Mosk sells only condominiums and townhouses. In fact, he’s sold more than 2,000 of them in his career spanning three decades. At the heart of his laser focused marketing system are his 72 internet sites exclusively promoting his sellers’ homes. Search the web for any city in the valley along with the word “townhouse” or “condo” and chances are a Mosk-owned and operated site is one of the top ten choices.
“The way homes are promoted today on the Internet, pictures are of paramount importance.” Mosk blends his passion for photography with his passion for marketing real estate. “Taking my own high quality marketing photographs means I spend high quality time learning about a seller’s home.”
If marketing technology is Mosk’s secret weapon, knowledge is his muscle. He holds a law degree. He’s a certified expert in both short sales and lender owned property sales. He’s been written about in The LA Times. He’s appeared in The Wall Street Journal and on CNN (Larry King Live and Anderson Cooper 360) and HGTV.
Mosk’s wife, Nadine, is his business partner. Also a 30-year veteran in real estate sales, Nadine concentrates on selling free standing homes. As The Mosk Group, the pair covers Toluca Lake and the entire San Fernando Valley.
When Mosk isn’t focused on his real estate business, he’s enjoying time with Nadine, their grown children, and a new Shitzu puppy. He describes himself as a passionate golfer – but not so good. His proudest golf moment: a hole-in-one.
Bruce Mosk is brutally honest. “Thirty years in real estate. Over 2,000 condo deals. And, a very, very ugly hole-in-one.”
