Building Our Future
You’ve probably been wondering what we’re building on a significant expanse of land on Laurel Canyon Boulevard….
The Arts & Education Center is a 111,000-square foot project comprising three two-story buildings that are connected on the first floor, a multi-level subterranean parking garage, 23 state-of-the-art classrooms, an art gallery, a faculty resource center, outdoor learning spaces, terraces and gardens, with extensive use of multi-media throughout. Designed by Gensler, an architectural firm renowned for its expertise in education design and innovative sustainability practices, the project will be LEED certified.
The Arts & Education Center facilities include: Visual Arts, Band/Orchestra, Choir, Video, TV Production, Photography, Dance, Drama, Outdoor Learning, Conference Rooms, General Classrooms, Faculty Work Areas, Integrated Technology, and Sustainable Resources.
The Arts & Education Center is the first of three phases outlined in the school’s master plan. Phases II and III include an additional gymnasium/swimming pool complex and a theatre with complete back-of-house facilities.
