Area seniors are invited to experience The Village at North-Ridge’s extraordinary lifestyle by attending a number of upcoming educational, social and wellness events hosted by the luxury retirement community.

On October 13 at 6:00 p.m., local experts will discuss “Health, Family and Money” strategies to plan and care for aging loved ones. The lecture will be presented by Dr. Dan Spurgeon; estate planning attorneys, Rebecca Goldfarb, Dinah Liu; geriatric care manager, Ruthie Rosenberg; and independent financial advisors, Laurie Gaynes-Basile and Dalia Hayon.
Friday, October 15 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., area seniors are invited to meet with Dr. Wagdy Kades, a board-certified rheumatologist who will be speaking on the topic of arthritis. A chance for Q & A’s with the doctor, light refreshments, and community tours will be provided following the lecture.
By popular demand, The Village at NorthRidge is continuing its Saturday Matinee Movie Club. Movies are shown every Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the community’s Majestic Theater followed by a lively post-film discussion moderated by Writer/Producer/Director Merle Goldberg. On October 16, residents and guests will enjoy Guilty by Suspicion starring Robert De Niro and Annette Bening. The following weekend on October 23rd, the 1958 film classic GiGi with Leslie Caron will be shown.
Author and Bioethicist Viki Kind will be on hand at The Village at NorthRidge on Saturday, October 30th from 2:00 p.m. for a book signing and lecture. How to make better life and health decisions, what to do in a medical emergency, and how decisions get made in hospitals are among the topics that will be covered in Ms. Kind’s lecture.
