Planning Pays Off

Kenneth A. Marinace, CFP®, CLU, RFC, President and Chief Executive Officer of Comprehensive Financial Services, holds the Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 FINRA licenses. But don’t let the long list of certifications scare you — he is also a thoroughly nice man! When you speak with him, you instantly feel that he is one of the most genuine individuals you will ever meet. He is well traveled. He has to be, as his clients are spread across the country, and in-person visits are an essential part of his fiduciary duty to them.
Ken, as he prefers to be called, was born, raised, and educated on the East coast, where he founded and sold his first financial firm in 1977. After that, he moved his family west and never looked back. He quickly built another financial consulting business in Burbank, California that catered to high net-worth individuals, many of whom worked in the entertainment industry, and are currently retired. “You would recognize many of their names.” Ken says, but he refrains from mentioning them, as he believes that protecting his client’s privacy is equally as important as protecting their wealth.
This August, his firm will host a casual Hawaiian-themed evening to celebrate their clients. Aside from these occasional large gatherings, Ken and his associates meet with their clients every 90-120 days. “It’s part of our annual review process,” Ken explains, “and I’m like the quarterback of the team who lets them know that every ‘T’ has been crossed and every ‘I’ has been dotted when it comes to how much we care for each and every one of their financial needs. No client is identical to another.”
Ken’s vision of an individualized approach for each of the firm’s clients is shared with Anna Luke, CFP®, PFP, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She came to work with the firm almost 14 years ago, and has risen through the ranks to help create an experience for every individual that comes to their group seeking guidance on how to grow and secure their wealth. According to her boss and mentor, “A succession plan is in place, should I ever retire, for Anna to lead the firm. The transition would be seamless.”
The dynamic advisor duo weathered the last financial storm with aplomb by helping their clients minimize loss. “Not to sound braggadocios, but we left no stones unturned when it came to figuring out investment strategies. We’re not single-minded. We are solution driven, not product driven.”
Kenneth A. Marinace and Anna Luke are obviously a confident, educated duo, at the helm of a capable and trustworthy staff. Both he, Anna Luke, and their team at Comprehensive Financial Services are eager to use their ample resources to help you prepare for your American dream: a comfortable and secure retirement.
