Local seniors are invited to experience the culturally rich lifestyle available at The Village at Sherman Oaks by attending “A Classical Afternoon” event on August 19th at 2:30 p.m. Festivities will include a one-hour performance by Broadway veteran and concert pianist John Towey as well as a champagne reception and tour of the community.

Combining his 40 years of experience as an actor and pianist, John brings classical and modern composers to life by sharing anecdotal information and portraits of each composer along with familiar piano pieces.?Guests will recognize the works of Chopin, Gershwin, Strauss, Bach and Beethoven as well as such well-known melodies as “Rhapsody in Blue,” “Maple Leaf Rag” and “Moonlight Sonata.”
