Don’t look now, but spring has sprung and Le Petit Chateau, the hospitality center at 4615 Lankershim Blvd. in thriving NoHo, is gearing up for a series of special events. Classic specials supplement the regular dinner menu on Easter Sunday from 3:30 to 9 p.m. and the Chateau will host an elegant wine pairing evening on April 29. That’s just for starters.

Christine and Andrew Higgs have operated the distinctive restaurant for a quarter century and will celebrate is 47th anniversary from Tuesday, May 3, thru Saturday, May 7, with a special $26.95 complete feast menu. (The regular menu will also be available)

The special menu begins with a choice of asparagus soup or a mixed greens salad: topped with fresh strawberries, almonds and gorgonzola; tossed with berry vinaigrette. An array of elegant entrees includes broiled New York steak, filet of Alaskan salmon, Scaloppini of white veal, slowly braised lamb shanks, crispy breast of chicken schnitzel or sautéed filet of sand dabs.

Dinner will be topped off by cherries jubilee with vanilla bean ice cream, bread pudding or crème anglaise Profiterole au chocolat with coffee.

Sunday, May 8, is Mother’s Day and Le Petit Chateau serves specials du jour in addition to its regular menu from 3:30 to 9 p.m.

Le Petit Chateau is an inviting, one of a kind dining experience in a palatial setting with a convivial full bar, plus an eloquent wine list. Any meal — lunch or dinner — becomes a special occasion.
