Teenage country music group Jetset Getset, which was recently named “Who New to Watch” by the Country Music Association, will debut in Los Angeles with a performance at the Young Artist Awards on May 5. The annual event, to be held in the Empire Ballroom at Sportsmen’s Lodge, honors young actors and actresses in movies and television.
Fronted by singers Tori Little, Sadie Loveland, and Avery Eliason, Indiana-based Jetset Getset has been compared by some critics to a younger version of the Dixie Chicks. Music News Nashville wrote that JSGS has “the potential to be country music’s next powerhouse female trio.” Music Connection Magazine described their style as “sprightly country twang.”
“We are excited to be invited to appear at the Young Artist Awards,” said manager Kelli Jette. “The Young Artist Foundation does a wonderful job of helping kids pursue the performing arts. That is something Jetset Getset is passionate about.”
This year’s event will include a special tribute to Young Artist Foundation founder Maureen Dragone, who passed away in February.
Jetset Getset will also perform at The Ranch Saloon, Orange County’s premier country music venue, at 8:30 p.m. on May 5, with special guest Ben Babylon. Babylon, an award-winning, 15-year-old keyboardist from Los Angeles, is working on an album with help from the Elton John Band. Doors open at 4 p.m.
