If you are wondering what to do until “Glee” comes back on, or wanted to experience the exuberance of a show choir set in person, then don’t miss Pop Show 31: Right Now!
While “Glee” is in its’ first year, the JBHS Vocal Music Association continues their amazing tradition of singing, dancing, dazzling costumes and eye catching sets for their 31st year in a row!
The pilot episode of the breakout hit “Glee” was filmed at Burroughs and in our choir classroom. The spirit of this entertaining show’s concept is evident in every song and show choir set. Burroughs’ Pop Show has a reputation that attracts fans from all over. Last year, Powerhouse, the advanced mixed choir, won Grand Champion in the Show Choir Cup at the Fame Show Choir Nationals in New York. Pop Show is your first chance to see this year’s exciting contributions to the show choir world.
Being the “real thing” and not a fictional television show, one of the show’s purposes is to help raise the funds, which helps this program excel. During difficult economic times, programs such as this are dependent on raising additional funds through performances.

“Pop Show 31: Right Now!” plays Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 18th-20th, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 21st, at 2 p.m. in the John Burroughs High School Auditorium (1920 W. Clark Ave., Burbank, CA 91506.) General admission is $16 or $11 for students and seniors. Reserved seats are $25. For tickets, please call (818) 846-1857.
