The John Burroughs High School Vocal Music Association will celebrate its 35th anniversary with “Pop Show 35: Hall of Fame” showcasing the VMA’s amazing tradition of excellence with singing, dancing, dazzling costumes and eye-catching sets from the renowned National Championship-winning Powerhouse & Sound Sensations advanced competition choirs, as well as the intermediate Decibelles and Sound Waves competition choirs and perennial fan-favorite “Men At Work.”

The evening will also feature a cappella groups, Dance Ensemble, small groups, duos, and soloists performing music and choreography they have chosen themselves. The Vocal Music Association has over 200 students involved in the performances. Pop Show is your first chance to see this year’s exciting contributions to the show choir world.

In celebration of the event’s 35th Anniversary, attendees wearing T-Shirts or Sweatshirts from any previous JBHS Pop Show (1-34) will be “awarded” with a free raffle ticket for one of the special Gift Baskets themed to each choir’s competition set.

Performances are set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27; Friday, Feb. 28; and Saturday, March 1, with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Sunday, March 2, in the John Burroughs High School Auditorium located at 1920 W. Clark Ave. in Burbank. General Admission is $17; $11 for students and seniors. Reserved seats are $27.
