“Walk Like A Man” is a crowd-pleasing show at NoHo’s historic El Portal Theatre, through April 14. It features the biggest hits from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons’ repertoire in a tribute to the great music of the ’60s and early ’70s era. Plus, there’s comedy and magic from the cabaret-type show’s host Bart Rockett, and much more that makes for an entertaining evening.

The show stars Val Martinez as the charismatic leader of the group, Jamey Schrick, Joe Abraham, and Lee Markham. All embodied the spirit and the energy of the famous Jersey boys, and they captivate the audience with their vibrant harmonies and choreography. It was the magical blend of their voices that made the original Four Seasons superstars in the music world, and the “Walk Like A Man” tribute quartet follows in their vocal footsteps.

“Let’s Hang On,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” “Sherry,” “Rag Doll,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What A Night,” are some of the unforgettable songs. Plus the group does a couple of Beach Boys and Beatles songs from the ’60s for more nostalgia. From their first notes to their last, sixteen hit songs later, the group is a blast from the past. Kudos go out to producer Sal Kuenzler.

Acting as host for the evening in the El Portal’s packed Monroe Theatre was Bart Rockett, who proved his reputation as a master magician, comic, and ventriloquist. His humor was family-friendly and ultra-funny, which is why he is in demand at venues all over the world.

The “Walk Like A Man” production is from West Coast Performing Arts Presenters & Rock N Roll Inc. Call for tickets at (818) 508-4200 or (866) 811-4111, or order online at elportaltheatre.com.
