The Hollywood Arts Council’s 26th Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts will be held Sunday, August 14, from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Paramount Pictures Studio located at 5555 Melrose Ave.
This free Children’s Festival is a day-long celebration of the arts and culture in Hollywood. The festivities will include a full schedule of performances featuring a variety of music and dance from around the world to entertain the entire family. Performers include Screen Actors Guild Foundation BookPals, Native American dancers from United American Indian Involvement, Palpitating Panthers Jump Rope Team, Chinese Center Acrobats and other surprises.
An assortment of workshops with professional artists will provide children opportunities to create their own art to take home in a variety of styles, including Mexican Tin Painting, Wizard Magic Wands, Festival Masks, Puppets and more. Look for Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck characters courtesy of Six Flags Magic Mountain. There will be face painters and many other surprises. Food will be available for purchase.
The festival is presented by the Hollywood Arts Council and is sponsored in part by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, Paramount Pictures, Alliance Residential, AEG, East Hollywood Neighborhood Council, Studio District Neighborhood Council, Discover Hollywood, Sunset Gower + Sunset Bronson Studios, Barnsdall Arts and Council President Eric Garcetti.
