Even though it has been a while since we have checked in with Nicholas Royce, he continues his tireless crusade for human rights. The only difference is that he now does it from his retirement facility inNorth Hollywood,Calif. At 85, Royce continues to use his status in the community to get his message across. In addition to his human rights crusade, Royce has also taken on the office of the presidency. That is, the presidency of the patients association atWindsorGardenswhere he now resides full time.
His room there is decorated with pictures and articles from his celebrated career as a dancer and choreographer. “I feel great and have a zest for life like never before,” Royce says. “I want to continue to do good and meaningful work and to contribute as much as I can to help people of all walks of life.”
Royce also continues to occasionally step out to special events, often attending dinners and screenings in the Hollywood community, many of those given by the jazz society or Women in Film, which he was one of the first male members, having joined over 20 years ago.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to be healthy enough at my age to do these things,” he says.
From the look of things, Royce shows no signs of slowing down.
