Create an active lifesyle at Burbank Senior Artists Colony

By John K. Adams

Burbank Senior Artists Colony promotes creative personal expression and excellent on-site and off-site entertainment exclusively for their residents. Exploring our natural world is an adventure. Join their “Excursion with Jack” on Saturday, June 17th and explore L.A.’s Natural History Museum on Museum Row near USC.

Experience and critique live drama at monthly Neo Ensemble Theatre readings. Flirt will be presented Wednesday, June 14th at 7pm, including refreshments.

Friday’s Standing and Chair Yoga fitness class is popular at The Colony. Residents love the gentle stretching. But you’ll want to walk fast to ensure you arrive before space fills up.

June marks the beginning of their Summer Water Aerobics class, Monday evenings at 6pm. Popular fitness instructor Jack Witt presides. Fitness classes, movie nights, acting workshops, art classes and the resident writing groups compete for your free time at Burbank Senior Artists Colony.

It is not too late to get the recipes of the scrumptious vegetarian dishes served at their “Free Indian Luncheon.” Be sure to enjoy the authentic Indian cuisine and ambience provided by the Aggerwhil family every other month.

Sun bathe and chill out in the beautiful pool or compete in the billiard room. Challenge your friends on Scrabble night.

The Senior Artists Colony is also short blocks from restaurants, shopping and off-site entertainment in Burbank. Visit their on-site salon for a fresh look. Weekly social hours give residents another chance to relax.

Expand your abilities in watercolor, sketching and painting with Poulet and jewelry making.  Enjoy The Colony’s own art museum featuring everyone’s best work— including yours.

The spacious and bright apartments are the main attraction here. Every apartment is furnished with modern appliances and walk-in closets.

Make this your home space. Covered, off-street parking is accessible to all residents.

Burbank Senior Artists Colony is located at 240 E Verdugo Ave. in Burbank. Visit or call (818) 955-9391.
