Disco Queen Pattie Brooks

Fabulous at any age, Pattie Brooks, 68.

Babyboomers (and everyone else) beware – there’s going to be a lot of rocking and rolling at the Victory Theatre with Rockin’ With the Ages 3, running March 25th through May 1st, Friday and Saturday nights at 8p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s executive produced by The Pink Lady, aka Jackie Goldberg and developed/written by Bill Reid and Mark Rodriguez.

When Pattie Brooks (a lead) first auditioned, producers thought she was too young since the show’s age requirement was 60-plus, and she doesn’t look 60-plus.

As a graduate of RWTA II, Pattie is stoked.

“This show is completely different, with music from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s — very doo-wop,” she said.

The real-life disco queen plays a club owner.

“I’m going to be singing ‘Midnight Train to Georgia,’ ‘On the Radio’ and ‘Memories.’ The people are great. We’re having so much fun.”

A Kansas native, Pattie worked at Hughes Aircraft before she got her break with the Smothers Brothers. She did backup for Donna Summers, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Jermaine Jackson and Paula Abdul, signed with Casablanca Records and composed and sang too many movie soundtracks to list. With a new CD in February, there’s no stopping Pattie. As she says, “Everything has come full circle.”

Previews are March 18, 19 and 20. The Victory Theatre is located at 3326 W. Victory Blvd., Burbank, CA 91505. Tickets are $25 general admission, $22 seniors, $15 previews; group rates available. For reservations, call (818) 606-6679 or email pinklady7@earthlink.net.
