Exciting Summer Classes Available for Bright and Gifted Children

Enrichment Classes for Gifted Children (ECGC) is offering an exciting summer education program for bright and gifted children at the Valley Magnet School (VAS) campus in Lake Balboa.
This summer’s theme is called “Exploration Nation,” and classes are specifically designed for bright and gifted children. More than 80 exciting and unique educational topics are being offered including: Japanese language, Shakespeare, theatre, poetry, eco-friendly awareness, volleyball, comic book superheroes, physics,  dinosaurs, chemistry, rocketry, architecture, music, dance, gardening, cooking and a wide variety of unique art classes.
ECGC has an outstanding faculty of more than 20 teachers for this extensive summer program. Many of the teachers work for the LAUSD, have post-graduate degrees and numerous years of experience working with bright and gifted children of all ages, and intellect ranges including those with social and learning disabilities.
Enrollment is now open on the programs Web site. Sessions can be purchased in three date blocks: July 6-17, July 20-31 and August 3-14. Morning, afternoon or full-day sessions are available.
ECGC also offers a year-round program with classes on Saturday’s in Toluca Lake. Classes are $10 each, and cover a wide variety of subjects such as art, music, strategy games and literature.
