For the 1st year ever at the Brookside Golf Club location, hundreds of Pasadena residents will join the fight against cancer by forming teams for the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay For Life. Relay For Life is a unique event in the fight against cancer to raise much needed funds for the American Cancer Society’s cancer research, community education, and local programs and services for patients and their families. Teams will walk around a track on Brookside Golf Club’s Driving Range, next to the iconic Rose Bowl, at this family-oriented event; during which participants walk or run, relay-style, around a track for 12 hours and take part in fun activities.
Many friends, family, and organizations have joined the fight in donating food, time, and services for this cause. Contributors currently involved, but not limited to, are Rose Bowl, A1 Party Rentals, Brides Against Breast Cancer, Autism Speaks, Party Light Candles, Pasadena Jaycees, Crepe Studio, Dickey’s BBQ, Curves, Brookside Golf Club, and many more!
Live Entertainment by the Matthew Jude Band, Suzanne Elise, Stephen Stewart Jazz, DJ Craig T., Bag Pipes, a Magician, and an opening speaker & survivor.
Relay For Life empowers our community while honoring cancer survivors and remembering those we’ve lost to the disease. Relay For Life takes place in more than 3,800 communities throughout the United States and expects to raise more than $170 million nationwide. Pasadena’s event will host many teams in hopes to raise over $20,000 in its first year.
