Former model Hunter Phoenix shows Hollywood she’s more than meets the eye

You think it’s cold right now in California you should visit Toronto, made even colder by the fact that former model and actress Hunter Phoenix no longer resides there. But you go where the action is, right?

Now the action is in Hollywood with Phoenix heating up the screen as Sabrina in the new feature film The Bandit Hound II, starring Lou Ferrigno (TV’s original Incredible Hulk), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas) and Catherine Bell (JAG).

From being hand selected to audition as a Bud Girl – the poster beauties for Anheuser-Busch’s flagship beverage – and spring-boarding to many other successful commercial campaigns throughout Europe, Phoenix took her good looks globally while never letting go of the strongest of her talents: acting.

Sure, many people in Tinseltown call themselves actors, but how many of them have been on stage since they were a tween, then moved on to study with legendary acting coach Uta Hagen (author of Respect for Acting) then taking to the stage as Blanche, the role made famous by Vivien Leigh, in A Streetcar Named Desire?

Born into  a family of academics who were supportive yet leery of their daughter’s theatrical aspirations (perhaps even hoping she might grow out of it), Phoenix has not only graced the stage and the screen but can be found in the sound booth, having done voiceover work in more than a dozen countries.

You can add brains to this beauty because Phoenix also worked in London as a screenwriter and has a degree in psychology. The former Bud Girl is proving she’s much more than just a pretty face.

Look for Phoenix in the hot web series Hollywood Uncensored, in which she portrays a talent agent.
