A native to LA and born into an artistic family, JD Shultz is balancing between his prolific art career and making his childhood dream of being a “rock star” a viable reality.

“I come from a family of artists, but my musical passion was self-taught,” JD says.

JD’s artistic side is bold, colorful, full of energy, and especially timely for the styles of today’s modern art. He paints anything you can think of, from guitars to surrealist abstracts, and is currently branching out into high end home décor. His vision is to launch a new line of unique furniture and home decor that clearly stands out.

Artistically he has an arrangement with MGM Resorts International in two locations (so far): The Bellagio and Aria.

“I believe my paintings in reverse Plexiglas fit perfectly with The Bellagio’s sophisticated themes and custom glass art ceiling. Hopefully I can help rejuvenate and bring some new life to the art scene inLas Vegaswith my work — and contemporary art in general goes well with the designs of modern hotels today!” He also hopes to have “JD Shultz Galleries” right there in The Bellagio someday sooner than later.

As talented and vibrant of an artist as he is, his first passion is music. He confesses that, “I started singing my own material a little bit later in life, but I’ve been playing in bands since my teens. I play guitar, bass, drums, and piano, but I also mix, produce, engineer, write, and perform all of my own songs.”

For his music, JD goes by the name “Human Brother.” He has a three piece band now playing around theL.A.area. His music is a worldly style and a mix of, in his words, “Electronic, Classic and Alternative Rock, Dance, World, and even Pop! … I enjoy mixing it all up.”

With a colorful artistic future in the gallery world and a newly prospering career as a recording artist, there isn’t much in the way of his slowing down now. Check out his entire range of art and musical styles at www.jdshultz.com. Rock on, JD!
