The Noon Kiwanis Club of Burbank is holding its 14th Annual Gala at Lakeside Golf Club on Saturday, June 4, at 6 p.m. with an Americana theme celebrating Burbank’s Centennial. The event has raised over a million dollars for local charities, including the Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center, Boys and Girls Club, Burbank High School Music Programs, Key Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, Burbank YMCA and Boy Scouts. Kiwanis looks forward to honoring the Burbank Healthcare Foundation and local businessman and active member of the Foundation, Sunder Ramani.
The Burbank Healthcare Foundation, a grant-giving organization, provides financial assistance to nonprofit organizations. It has recently expanded its grant-giving function to include medically related scholarships. Examples of its generosity are evident throughout the City of Burbank.
Sunder Ramani, Vice Chairman of the Foundation, presently heads Westwind Media, a post-production media campus in Burbank.
Sunder sits on the boards of community organizations and is an advocate for small business through his participation in the National Federation of Independent Business in Washington, D.C.
Sunder, married to Dr. Mandy Ramani, M.D., enjoys being father to 18 year old daughter, Kira, and 15 year old son, Collin.
The emcee for the evening’s festivities is Brooks Gardner, an actor of merit and drama teacher at Burbank High School.
The evening will feature dinner, entertainment, live and silent auctions, a reverse opportunity drawing and much more.
