Did you know now, more than ever, is the best time to sell or buy a home? You may think otherwise because of the state of today’s economy, but real estate agent Gregg Goulet, of Keller Williams Realty Studio City, sets the record straight.
Why should you sell or purchase property now? While interest rates are historically low, says Goulet, we have recently seen the market shift to a more balanced market for both the buyer and seller. Goulet has been an agent for six years, and several multi-million dollar homes have been sold through his guidance. So, how does he do it?
“Keller Williams Realty tells us (agents) to be ourselves,” Goulet says. “It’s about making sure the client is comfortable — carefully guiding them through the entire process — and I believe I can do that.” He says he gives his clients special attention and advice to ensure their home has the best curb appeal and staging when selling. Goulet also educates his clients on ways to be the strongest buyer for their dream home.
Keller Williams Realty is ranked number one nationwide as the top realty business. In addition to the plethora of awards the company receives, they were top 22 percent of the top 500 brokerages in the country last year, according to REAL Trends 500.
“We are honored to be in business with so many talented associates who share our goal of being the largest, most productive real estate company in the world,” says Keller Williams Realty CEO Mark Willis. Their first office opened up in 1983 and since then, they now have approximately 700 offices and about 84,000 associates worldwide.
Goulet believes the company does so well because they care enough that many clients keep coming back. This is due to the way customers are treated by the agents. Goulet says, “Our concept of the company is to take care of the client and treat them like family, and I do!”
Goulet is currently focusing on the following areas: Toluca Lake, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, and Encino.
We ask him why buyers should take a look at properties in Toluca Lake and he says, “It’s a jewel … when people buy here, they don’t leave because they love it so much. It’s one of those little diamonds that is always shining in the Valley.” Well said, Goulet!
He gives us pointers for first-time buyers: Make sure you have good credit, and a stronger down payment in this seller’s market is key. He also believes writing a letter to the seller on how the buyer relates to the property can also be a great tool. With these suggestions, why wait? The time to act is now.
