Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters to Honor Sedaka

Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters’ President Chuck Street announced today that musical legend Neil Sedaka will receive the coveted Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award at the PPB celebrity luncheon Nov. 15 at Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City.

Neil’s friends and supporters including Billy Davis and Marilyn McCoo, Lou Gossett, Jr., Wink Martindale, Phil Cody, Marc Sedaka, and David Foster will be part of the celebration of his impressive fifty year career ranging from teen pop sensation of the ‘50s, songwriter of the ‘60s, superstar in the ‘70s, and a constant force in the music industry to the present.

Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters is one of the oldest gatherings of premier broadcasters in Western America. The group was founded in 1966 with the concept of hosting celebrity luncheons for professionals in the Radio, Television, and allied fields to get together to renew old friendships, meet new members, and honor fellow pioneer broadcasters for their achievements. Past honorees include Robert Wagner, Peter Falk, Danny Thomas, Steve Allen, Glen Campbell, Della Reese, and Betty White.
