The 56th Annual Sierra Madre Art Fair, sponsored by the Friends of the Sierra Madre Library, will be held in Memorial Park located at 222 West Sierra Madre Blvd. on Saturday, May 5 from 9:30am to 6pm and Sunday, May 6 from 9:30am to 5pm.
Eighty-five artists will display and sell their works of art. Mediums include oil paintings, jewelry, watercolors, glass, wood, metal, wearable art, photography, pottery, ceramics, mixed media, sculpture and weaving.
Live music will be featured throughout the weekend in the band shell and on the southeast lawn.
Food vendors will offer a variety of food and drinks. The Friends of the Library will have a booth selling their popular sweet “quick” breads and baked goods and the Sierra Madre Historical Preservation Society will be selling their famous lemonade made from rangpur limes.
For the children, instructors from the Creative Arts Group will offer a special craft activity making flower bouquets with different colors and shapes of paper.
At least 40 artists have donated one-of-a-kind pieces for a silent auction. All Proceeds from the Art Fair benefit the Sierra Madre Public Library.
