BURBANK, Calif. — Burbank Temple Emanu El invites the community to its first-ever Second Time Around Upscale Boutique on Sunday, May 6, 9 a.m.—3 p.m. inside the temple social hall. The fundraiser features gently-used women’s fashions and accessories with designer labels, such as Coach, Guess, St. John, Tahari, Feragamo, Oleg Cassini, Escada, Jessica McClintock, Christian Dior, and more.
The drop-in boutique will feature a Sweet & Savory Bake Sale. Mac N’ Cheese pre-orders have already sold out and should be picked up that day. Less than 10 tins of the frozen comfort food are available for sale that day, so come early. More than a dozen Sisterhood volunteers will be bringing in sweet items for sale baked in their own kitchens. A raffle and donor drawing will also be called that day.
Purchases made from the Second Time Around Boutique are tax-deductible and will help support temple programs and Burbank affiliations. Unsold professional attire will be donated to Dress for Success, a Los Angeles philanthropy outfitting business attire to women returning to the workforce. Any other unsold items will be donated to the Discovery Cancer store in Burbank.
The Burbank Temple Emanu El Sisterhood committee putting on this community-wide event include: Joan Kagan, Tobi Lippman, Philleen Meskin, Esther Kastan, Ruth Bader, Joyce Feinsilbur, and Laura Snow.
Burbank Temple Emanu El is located at 1302 N. Glenoaks Blvd. in Burbank.
