The Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter, a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal service agency, is devoted to providing medical, social, behavioral and financial care for animals at risk.
We are determined to provide the best possible care for all animals at the Burbank Animal Shelter. We’d like to share with you one of our happy adoption stories:
“Hi, I’m Bobo! I was adopted from the Burbank Animal Shelter by a family who wanted company for their other dog, Ralph. I was pretty scared when I first came home with them – you see, it was already my third time in the shelter, and I was only 10 months old. My other owners used to keep me outside all the time, and I got in trouble a lot for digging and chewing. (How was I supposed to know? I was only a puppy!) So I was pretty sure that this home wouldn’t last either. Boy was I wrong! It’s been a year and half, and I have my own soft bed to sleep on inside with everyone else in the family. I get to play ALL the time with Ralph. We go to the dog park, and I get ice cube treats when it’s hot! And here, no one ever slaps me on the nose when they call me, so I’m not as afraid to come to people anymore. In fact, I love just sitting next to my people now so they can stroke my head. I also love riding in the car and chasing balls, and of course, pestering my big brother, Ralph.”
