If you haven’t heard of Brooke Moriber, or should I say heard Brooke Moriber, you haven’t been listening carefully. Comparisons of her voice are being made to her “all-time favorite” Linda Ronstadt. That’s pretty good company.
Moriber, a native New Yorker, is the biggest voice in the room, and has already chalked up singing roles in many Broadway shows (Les Miserables), guest spots on TV (As the World Turns) and a supporting role in the film Off-Track Betty. She’s also worked with such notables as Cyndi Lauper and Alan Cumming in The Threepenny Opera. Lately, her song writing skills are getting attention with the upcoming release of her new EP Fire.
In anticipation of Fire, Moriber will be performing her original songs (and others’) at two shows in Hollywood next week.
After Moriber swoons Tinseltown she is scheduled to fly to Nashville where Music City is preparing to greet this rising star.
Now is your chance to witness this talented young performer live, so you can say you heard her when.
Moriber will appear:
- Tuesday, October 6th, 8pm, at Genghis Cohen located at 740 N. Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles, (323) 653-0640
- Wednesday, October 7th, 7pm, at the legendary Room 5 Lounge located at 143 North La Brea Avenue, 2nd floor, in Los Angeles, (323) 938-2504
