Passed away February 1 — at her home with friends and family by her side.
Ruth was very well known in the community and belonged to many organizations such as the North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Zonta Club of North Hollywood and Burbank, North Hollywood Optimist Club, North Hollywood Republication Women’s Federation, San Fernando Valley Business and Professional Women, Eastern Star and the Toluca Lake United Methodist Church. Ruth also served on the board for the North Hollywood Federal Postal Credit Union. She helped in the fundraising for the Amelia Earhart Memorial and most importantly, let’s not forget those St. Patrick’s Day fundraisers.
Ruth was an exceptional person who touched everyone with her grace and presence.
In her 43 years, The Coolidge Physical Therapy Center helped this community with her healing hands and open heart. She was quiet and poised, but roared like a lioness when the need arose. Her love for every child was amazing.
Ruth always had a saying: “Keep your gut clean, take small bites of food then chew until nearly liquefied, drink plenty of water with no ice, drink a cup of black coffee daily. And most of all, have a chuckle everyday.”
Ruth Coolidge’s memorial is set for Thursday February 10, at 1 p.m. at the Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park located at 10621 Victory Blvd. in North Hollywood, 91606 in the Chapel with grave side to follow.
