Le Salon de Musiques

The second concert of Le Salon de Musiques’ 3rd season will feature Charles Marie Widor’s Suite for Flute and Piano op 34 and Andre Caplet’s Quintet for Piano and Winds, which is a U.S. Premiere. The concert will be introduced by musicologist Julius Reder Carlson and performed by Steven Vanhauwaert on piano, Pamela Vliek on flute, Valentin Martchev on bassoon, Joshua Ranz on clarinet, and Joseph Stone on oboe. The performance will be followed by a one-hour informal conversation between the musicians and the audience where they can share ideas, concepts, and impressions about the music performed while sipping French Champagne and enjoying a gourmet buffet prepared by Patina.

Tickets are $65 per person,
$45 for students. There is a 10% discount if tickets are purchased for three or more concerts. And a 20% discount for a full season subscription.

44th Annual Police Community Partnership Luncheon

On behalf of the East Valley Police Activity League Supporters (PALS) and the North Hollywood Area of the Los Angeles Police Department, we would like to invite you to attend our 44th Annual Police Community Partnership Luncheon. This luncheon is held annually by the East Valley PALS to honor police officers, civilian employees, volunteers, and citizen heroes from the North Hollywood Area for their noteworthy efforts throughout the year.

The luncheon will be held at the Sportsman’s Lodge inStudioCity. The reception will begin at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12 noon. Attendance at the luncheon will likely be a minimum of 250 and perhaps as many as 400 concerned residents, business people, local dignitaries such as the Mayor of the City ofLos Angeles, City Council members, and high ranking officials within the Police Department.

Tickets are on sale for $30 each. Individual and corporate sponsors may reserve individual tables by purchasing blocks of ten tickets. PALS will also be distributing a luncheon booklet, which offers you an outstanding opportunity to reach a handpicked audience available through advertisement and we would print your business card for a bargain price of $25. The deadline for placing your ad is Oct. 29. Any profit from the booklet and luncheon is applied towards various police and community projects sponsored by PALS.

As you may already know, PALS is a private, non-profit charitable organization affiliated with the North Hollywood Area of the Los Angeles Police Department. Funds raised by PALS go toward supporting a variety of youth activities, and also supply the Area with equipment and support that are not otherwise available through the City’s budgetary process.
