Baskin-Robbins in Burbank Area Offers a Sweet Deal with Third Annual 31 Cent Scoop Night Event
Mark your calendars – 31 Cent Scoop Night is back at Baskin-Robbins! America’s favorite neighborhood ice cream shop is sweetening the spring season by hosting its third annual 31 Cent Scoop Night celebration on April 29, 2009, from 5-10pm, at all Baskin-Robbins locations nationwide. During the event, the iconic ice cream brand will thank its loyal customers by reducing the price of all 2.5oz ice cream scoops to just one 31 cents.
As part of 31 Cent Scoop Night, Baskin-Robbins will make a $100,000 donation to the National Volunteer Fire Council’s National Junior Firefighter Program.

Final Results are Tabulated for Burbank’s 2009 General Election
Burbank City Clerk Margarita Campos announced that final results are in for Burbank’s General Election held Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Of the 53,612 eligible voters, 11,889 ballots were cast representing a 22.1 percent return rate. With all ballots verified and counted, the results remain consistent with those announced last Tuesday evening, although these numbers now include ballots that were pending verification by the Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorder’s Office.
Six candidates qualified for the General Election ballot for the three City Council seats (in ballot order): Elise Stearns-Niesen (3,849 votes); Garen Yegparian (3,139 votes); David Gordon (5,251 votes – Elected); Kimberly Jo (5,039 votes); Jess Talamantes (5,366 votes – Elected); and, Dave Golonski (5,711 votes – Elected).
