Tom and Councilmembers Janice Hahn and Bill Rosendahl introduced a motion to change the date of the 2010 Los Angeles Marathon back to a Sunday in March. The race was moved to Memorial Day this year; partly because clergy members complained that their congregants could not reach their churches because of the foot-race through city streets. If you have information about an attempted kidnapping in East Hollywood on Wednesday morning, please contact detectives in the LAPD’s Northeast Division at (213) 847-4270. A white male in his 30s or 40s tried to grab a 14-year-old girl as she was walking to Thomas Starr King Middle School in the morning. She fought him off and he sped away in a dark gray two-door Honda Accord.
