And the Reunions Continue–
–With the best Sunday Brunch in the Valley. Friends of the Steak Joynt (some up to 11 years old) are visiting and revisiting Herb’s Oyster House, a Studio City landmark for some 38 years. People are surprised to find Rona there — in her usual enthusiastic mood — meeting and greeting, hugging and kissing old friends. She is excitedly describing some of her popular dishes, like poached salmon filet Benedict with tangy handmade hollandaise sauce, avocado and roasted red potatoes. Also, egg and bacon Benedict, plus a scrambled egg sandwich on a huge roll (onions inside and out) with smoked Gouda cheese, bacon and mixed greens with Rona’s version of the classic Brown Derby dressing. She also introduced the B & B (bacon & brie) omelet and a succulent 6 oz. rib-eye steak sandwich and steak salad.
“When you want fish — any kind of fish — there is a good chance you’ll find Chef Roberto’s seafood plates to your liking,” says Scott Newman, Oyster House manager and Herb and Rona’s son.
The proven menu has a wide selection of Italian-style chicken and pasta dishes and a variety of healthy options. The Sunday Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“If you’ve never been to the Oyster House or haven’t been there recently, both Herb and Rona suggest you drop in for a delicious Sunday Brunch and stay until 3 p.m., when the real entertainment begins.”
The Oyster House is located at 12446 Moorpark St. in Studio City. For more information, call (818) 761-8686 or visit www.oysterhousesaloon.com.
