Hollywood Arts Council’s 28th Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts
Ever wanted to be photographed on a red carpet or go to a free performance on a famous movie lot? You’re invited to the Hollywood Arts Council’s 28th Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts this Sunday from 12-Noon—4:30 p.m. at Paramount Pictures! The festival is free and full of fun activities for children including art workshops and exciting performances, chances to take photos with Bugs Bunny, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz (Impressionist Elaine Horn), and even get autographs and photos with young TV and movie stars kids might recognize! Come to build your own spaceship, puppet, or beaded bracelet; lounge on the studio lot with delicious snacks for sale; or hop onto a real fire truck courtesy of LAPD!
The performances and workshops you’ll be able to see and participate in will make a perfect summer day. The performers are the West Los Angeles Children’s Choir, Lyte Dance Studio Hip Hop, the Stunt Kids of Hollywood, Lac Hong Vietnamese Dance, Jim Gamble Puppet Productions, a magician named Arty LoOn, and Plaza de la Raza Folklorico Ensemble! You can make your very own puppet, nature windsock, beaded bracelet, pinwheel, postcard, spaceship, Chinese drum, and musical shaker! The festival is emceed by the energetic and fun Casey McCabe of AMP Radio 97.1. Come spend this beautiful Sunday afternoon at Paramount Pictures (5555 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood) at the Bronson Gate for free – even parking!
