San Fernando Valley Master Chorale and Orchestra Present Their Annual Holiday Concert with Toy Collection for L.A. Children’s Hospital
For their second concert in the group’s 20th anniversary season, The San Fernando Valley Master Chorale and Orchestra, directed by Terry Danne, will host a festival chorale performing Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 pm at Pierce College’s Theater on the Hill (6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills). Joining the Chorale will be 100 singers from the Valley choral groups and members of Los Cancioneros Master Chorale, directed by Joanna Nachef. This Torrance-based group is scheduled to perform with The Lebanese National Orchestra at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles and New York’s Carnegie Hall in May.
Marion Ross, TV’s ‘Mrs. Cunningham’ from “Happy Days,” will narrate The Story of Christmas as she performed it in 1995 with the Master Chorale. Favorite Christmas and Hanukkah music will be sung, and Santa and his reindeer will drop in with gifts for the children. (Audience members are asked to bring a toy for Los Angeles Children’s Hospital as well.)
