Bombay Palace Brunch: Sizzle This Summer with Samosas and Mimosas
If you don’t want to make the trek to India, you’re in for a treat at Bombay Palace, a Beverly Hills Wilshire Boulevard retreat.
It’s Michael Douglas’s favorite Indian restaurant. Michael, his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and his family recently visited.
During summer Sundays, the elegant eatery is offering a $20 brunch, including bottomless Mi-mosas. We all know that in some restaurants, you might pay the same price for one cocktail. But here, you also get to consume a gourmet meal. And as much as you’d like — it’s a buffet.
We were greeted by a friendly hostess who made us feel very welcome. At our window table, we had a fabulous view of the city; the hills complimented the inside décor of bronze Hindu deity an-tiques sitting on niches through-out the restaurant, amidst its white walls, lofty ceilings, white columns and large Buddha near the entrance. In the background, the authentic Indian music trans-ported you to an enchanting place far away from L.A.
Brunch includes various sal-ads, appetizers, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, traditional curry dishes, makki di roti, with sarson ka saag, four veggie dish-es including chana puri and stuffed parathas, naan (garlic or traditional) rice pudding, pumpkin pudding, bottomless Mimosas or mango lassies, tea or coffee.
Under the same ownership and with the same chefs at the helm for 25 years, Bombay Pal-ace is an instruction in Beverly Hills.
