A Mother’s Day Tradition
By Monica Petty
Nearly every person who grew up in the Valley has a connection to the Sportsmen’s Lodge. But did you know they are still open and business is thriving? The property was purchased by Weintraub Investments and, after multi-million dollar renovations, reopened in 2009. To cap off the exquisite renovation, Executive Chef Marcos Arana was hired and created amazingly delicious menus customizable for any occasion.
In April, Executive Chef Marcos was named as one of 2013’s Best Chefs in America. This prestigious group is comprised of less than 1% of all chefs in America.
Located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, the Sportsmen’s Lodge Events Center boasts over 40,000 square feet of spectacular indoor/outdoor meeting and event space. The stunning facility has 10 different event spaces, which can accommodate a small meeting of 25, to a grand event of over 1,000 guests. Their signature ponds, waterfalls, towering redwoods, and lush foliage complete the picture.
Sportsmen’s Lodge has created a style of “old school cool with a new cool vibe” and is quickly reestablishing itself as the premier venue in the Valley for special occasions, corporate meetings, and once again, the go-to location for the filming industry. But it doesn’t stop there. Sportsmen’s Lodge has gone back to its roots — to a day when it was known for great food, beautiful décor, and live entertainment.
A tradition that continues at Sportsmen’s Lodge is the Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch. Executive Chef Marcos has created and displays an array of mouth-watering choices. Treat Mom this Mother’s Day to a new tradition filled with Champagne Mimosas and an array of choices guaranteed to please everyone in the family! Call (818) 755-5000 to make your reservations.
Sportsmen’s Lodge Events Center is located at 12833 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City.
