The Altadena Guild of Huntington Memorial Hospital will host its 63rd Annual Home Tour on Sunday, May 4. La Solana Drive will be showcased, a street of historic and architectural interest.

In 1926, the property was acquired by a developer who built 23 houses as a residential connection to the nearby golf and country club. While every house on the street has a red-tile roof, white Mediterranean-style exteriors, 12 inch thick walls and hardwood floors, no two floor plans are alike. At that time the purchase of a house on La Solana came with a membership in what is now known as the Altadena Town and Country Club.

Guests will be invited to view the interiors of seven houses during the Tour and may visit the gardens of several additional homes.

La Solana Drive has everything that one expects in Southern California – palms, citrus, red-tile roofs, arches, wrought iron accents, and panoramic views of the San Gabriel Mountains.

On the day of the home tour, guests may visit the Tea Garden for a complimentary dessert, enjoy a libation and snack at the Altadini Bistro Bar, purchase homemade baked goods, and browse a variety of antique and craft booths for unusual clothing, gifts, and accessories.

The 63rd Annual Home Tour will be held on May 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person; $35 the day of the event. Tickets may be purchased online through the Guild’s website at altadenaguild.org or by calling the Guild’s telephone at (626) 304-4678.
