American Entrepreneurs – Pioneering the Take-Back of American Business
They may not be farmers and shopkeepers like their forefathers, but there is a revolution brewing amongst American workers and the movement is growing stronger with every lost paycheck.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of July 2010:
The National unemployment rate is 9.5%
California’s current rate is at 12.3%
The drive to move commerce and business back into homes and communities is fast becoming a trend.
Enter Derek A. Romo, a self-employed, self-employment fanatic who understands Americans’ desire to get out from under the proverbial “boot” and define their own destiny. “Many of the big boys have fallen and they’ve dragged the American dream down with them…at least for those they laid off or terminated,” says Romo. “But not everyone is taking their personal circumstances lying down. They’re looking beyond corporate America to create their own job security.
“Forget the job and start a WaHB,” (work at home business) says Romo. To help the uninitiated explore their options, he has developed the Work at Home Business Expo, a combined trade and consumer show fully focused on getting together providers of small and home based business models with those considering starting a home based business.
Exhibitors will benefit from an environment where they can reach out to an even richer pool of prospects available to them because of the economic downturn (California alone has 2,227,000 unemployed workers); consumers attending the show will learn not only how self-employment can vastly improve their circumstances, but be able to explore under one roof the many choices available to them.
“Opportunities abound,” says Romo. “Where big business once made it impossible for the little guy to compete, their corporate infrastructures have become cumbersome, nearly impossible to manage. As a result, small businesses can now enter the marketplace with an even chance of succeeding.”
Work at Home Business Expo – WaHBExpo.com –debuts November 13-14 at the FairPlex Exposition Center in Los Angeles. All participants will have access to a variety of seminars, speakers and vendors.
