On the first Saturday in August The Coronet Debutante Ball Board announced their Debutantes for 2013. The setting was a luncheon in the Bel Air Country Club.
Presiding over this year’s events was Coronet Ball Director Irene (Mrs. Peter) Moy.
As the teenage girls and their mothers stepped up to the podium, Irene gave them a 14K gold coronet lavaliere. This keepsake will be worn with a white velvet ribbon for the first time on the evening of their presentation.
Irene then congratulated each young lady for their six years of community service. She said volunteerism was the first among many reasons that the girls were invited to Debut at the Coronet Ball.
Mothers, daughters, relatives, friends, and Ball Board members enjoyed the luncheon and fashion show. Many former debs modeled the white gown they wore when they made their bow.
Fran (Mrs. Joseph) Aponte, the CDB Board President, thanked all those in attendance and said, “We are looking forward to seeing you at the beautiful 64th Coronet Ball on Saturday, Nov. 30, in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills.”
