Eat, Drink, and Be Merry at 12th Annual Armenian Festival in Glendale This Weekend!
Join the fun this Saturday and Sunday (May 4 & 5) at the Glendale Civic Auditorium with music by popular Armenian singers, folk dance performances, costume shows, delectable foods and pastries, cultural exhibits, and activities for all ages at the 12th Annual Armenian Cultural & Food Festival.
The festival, organized by the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) of Western USA, celebrates the richness of Armenian culture, allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy first-hand many deep-rooted traditions.
Alongside costume shows, folk dancing, and singers, the auditorium’s lower level will feature displays of regional costumes and artwork.
“We anticipate that the ARS 12th Annual Festival will be another successful event. For this occasion, we will be publishing a Home Remedies Book which will incorporate a collection of traditional remedies and time-tested techniques that will help treat and heal various ailments,” said Seta Tarpinian, co-chairperson.
“It is our aim to ensure that our cultural traditions remain alive outside our homeland and that local community members become better acquainted with them,” she continued.
Proceeds from the event go to support the ARS of Western USA’s various local and international programs benefiting individuals and communities in need.
The Glendale Civic is located at 1401 N. Verdugo Rd. in Glendale. Festival hours are 1 p.m. to midnight on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is only $3 per person.
