Escape to “An Evening in Venice”
When families, friends and supporters arrive at Maranatha High School’s “An Evening in Venice” gala on Feb. 26, they will be greeted by a majestic 20 foot fountain and a pristine 2011 Jaguar with a big red bow on top. When the event’s doors open at 6 p.m., guests will leave Pasadena behind and retreat into an enchanting Venetian experience, all to benefit the students of Maranatha.
Dinner “under the stars,” a gelato bar and an Italian soda bar are just a few of the unique experiences awaiting the evening’s attendees. The festivities will also include an Italian musical performance by Maranatha students. In addition, guests may also purchase an opportunity to compete in an exhilarating “indoor golf putting contest,” where the first qualifying participant to sink three putts will win a brand new 2011 Jaguar XF. The beautiful Jaguar XF on display at Maranatha High School throughout the evening is provided courtesy of Rusnak Jaguar Pasadena, part of the Rusnak Auto Group.
Guests will have the opportunity to bid on over 200 items in the silent auction. However, unlike traditional silent auctions, bidders will not be tethered to the auction tables in order to monitor the bid sheets. They instead will use BidPal’s revolutionary handheld bidding devices, pre-loaded with every auction item, to electronically submit and monitor their bidding activity. Guests can browse the silent auction area, view items on their personal BidPal, and bid from anywhere at any time during the event. Free to wander and enjoy the rest of the event, bidders will be notified immediately if they are out-bid on an item and may submit a new bid without having to return to the auction tables!
The evening will conclude with an exciting live auction that includes items such as a three-night stay at the luxurious Four Seasons Haulalai, an afternoon cruise aboard a private chartered yacht, a VIP Dodgers baseball experience and more.
