Free Family Fun at Ojai Valley’s Lavender Festival
The Ojai Valley Lavender Festival is holding its 11th Annual Mediterranean Marketplace on Saturday, June 28 from 10 AM – 5 PM. The Festival takes place in Libbey Park in the heart of historic downtown Ojai. Park admission is free and the Festival provides free off-site parking and free shuttles to and from the park. It’s a great day of family fun!
Enjoy lavender-infused lemonade as you stroll the tree-lined aisles of artisan wares. From essential oils and lotions to plants, art and jewelry; over 100 unique vendors will be participating. Be sure to check out the delicious gourmet treats and hands-on demonstrations.
Musical entertainment includes Charletta Web, Richard Kaller, Smitty and Julija, Cindy Kalmenson and the Lucky Ducks, Steel Cut Band, Honeysuckle Possums and Jerry Pugh.
Informative speakers include Patricia Brookes of the Aromatherapy Thymes, Connor Jones, an expert on sustainable farming, and Karen Everden, who will share her latest cookbook and her knowledge of the products of Ojai’s Mediterranean climate — lavender, citrus, avocados, and olives to include in your daily diet. There are also games to play that may send you home with a lovely prize.
Come for the day or stay a while and enjoy local art galleries, restaurants, shops, wineries, and boutiques that are uniquely Ojai. There is something for everyone at this must-attend event of the summer.
