Handcrafted Ceramic Art Sale Nov. 21 & 22 in NoHo

Community of Berman Ceramic Artists holding their work.

Community of Berman Ceramic Artists holding their work.

The community of talented artists at Berman Ceramic Arts makes forms from clay used to eat, drink, hold flowers, and also sculpture for viewing. Those ceramic works tell stories of times, places and ways of living that make us each unique, yet part of a greater whole. The clay objects we make, mirror the ways we have come to see ourselves, and each other. Our handcrafts are a chain that connects us, link by link to those who came before us.
Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, from 11am to 5pm, 24 potters and sculptors from Berman Ceramic Arts will be exhibiting exciting new works to fit every budget.  The variety of work is perfect for gift giving, from early-folk style vessels to flowing contemporary sculpture – some with a touch of whimsy to more lyrical pieces.
This annual sale, the most diverse and extensive to date, features porcelain and stoneware mugs, vases, bowls, teapots, covered containers, and of course, an array of art objects.  There will be hundreds of exquisite items affordably priced starting at $10, with many under $30 all the way to high-end sculpture.
You’ll have an opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their work, enjoy refreshments, and browse.
A haven for aspiring artists, this nurturing atmosphere fosters creativity, friendship, and provides individual direction and guided technical support.
Berman Ceramic Arts, founded 37 years ago by Harry Berman, continues its commitment to enriching the community through participating in the arts. In addition to a complete program of pottery and sculpture classes, the school conducts workshops, rents space to ceramists and works with kids in the Los Angeles City Schools creating ceramic murals for public places.
The holiday spirit is quite alive at BCA, gifts are abundant and shopping is personal and most enjoyable. This promises to be an event not-to-be-missed!  Go early for the best selection.
